Alyson Smith Davis

Admissions and Business Development Support

Alyson Davis has been at SUWS since 2012 when she began working as a field instructor.  In the years since she has served in several management positions and currently enjoys focusing on program improvement.  She takes pride in understanding the inner-workings of SUWS and supporting the organization with her specialized talents.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Sociology and then spent most of the next decade working in the tourism industry.  From rafting on West Virginia rivers to dude ranching in Arizona to selling groceries in Teton National Park, Alyson has always enjoyed being outdoors and helping others.  She often says that she was doing wilderness therapy before she knew about wilderness therapy.

When not at work Alyson stays busy exploring Asheville with her family, relaxing with friends, eating good food, and building a family business.

Back to All Staff

The wilderness therapy offered at SUWS was the dynamic solution needed to help my son with his behavioral issues. When my son left SUWS, he was completely changed for the better and also created new bonds and unforgettable memories! I can't recommend SUWS enough for anyone in a similar situation!
