Criteria For Admissions
The following are the basic criteria used to determine appropriate referrals to the program: Clinically appropriate - Family involvement with the program - A minimum level of physical fitness. SUWS of the Carolinas accepts students ages 10-17. The SUWS Seasons program is specifically designed for younger children ages 10-13.

SUWS of the Carolinas offers help to students ages 10-17. We have age, gender and
issue-specific groups with therapists who specialize in:

  Low self-esteem
Depression
Entitlement issues
Family conflict
Mood stability issues
Defiant or manipulative behavior
Isolation
 

Learning differences
Attention deficit disorder
Drug or alcohol use/abuse
Negative peer relationships
Anxiety
Adoption issues
Gaming addictions


Rick PollardRick Pollard, BS, Business Administration, USC - Director of Outdoor East Admissions

After graduating college, Rick worked a fifteen year career in a corporate retail environment. After working a few years in Corporate Finance, he went into Operations where he was responsible for Finance, HR, and Marketing within his business unit. Rick started with Aspen Education Group in 2005 and has worked in several programs in regard to Admissions, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations as well as many special projects. His varied experience at the program level has led to an understanding of how specific programming can help and benefit families. As a result, his passion to help families has grown his desire for marketing and admissions. When not at Aspen Education, Rick enjoys photography, painting and drawing as well as outdoor activities and working on home improvements.
